Mental Health Services

Mercy’s Mental Health Services, under the Department of Psychiatry, specializes in the treatment of individuals 18 years of age and older experiencing emotional and/or behavioral problems. The 30-bed unit provides diagnostic evaluations, short-term psychiatric treatments and referrals for care in an outpatient setting, as determined by the patient’s specific needs.

Mercy’s Mental Health Services team undertake assessment and monitoring of mental health needs utilizing a therapeutic progression phase system to foster increased individualized patient responsibility which helps the patient to progress through the therapy process as rapidly and effectively as possible. The goal is to provide a safe and therapeutic environment.

Specially Trained Team
A specially trained multidisciplinary treatment team consisting of psychiatric nurses, clinical nurse specialists, licensed clinical social workers, art therapists, occupational therapists, recreational therapists, certified behavioral health technicians and
affiliated psychiatrists collaborate in developing and implementing an
individualized treatment plan.
