Surgical Services

Surgical therapy continues to pave the way in the treatment of solid malignancies. The Miami Cancer Center at Mercy Hospital is affiliated with many of South Florida's board certified surgeons. Oncology related surgical services offered include the following divisions and departments within Mercy Hospital: general surgery, colorectal surgery, cardiopulmonary, head and neck, neurosurgery, urology, gynecologic oncology, orthopaedic surgery, and plastic surgery.

ONCOLOGY UNIT
With 43 private rooms, Mercy's oncology unit strives to provide outstanding patient care and support to patients and families coping with cancer. The unit also includes an active Outpatient Oncology Service for chemotherapy administration and short-term oncology-related procedures. In addition, the unit provides remote telemetry for post-operative oncology patients and other med-surgical patients that require Tele/Pulse Oximetry Monitoring at the bedside.
