Volunteer Information and Application

All volunteers must commit to a minimum requirement of 40 hours of service. A volunteer application packet must be completed, including health clearance, TB test and reference letters. Teens must be a minimum of 13 years of age with proof of age. Parental permission signed by a parent or legal guardian is required.

The volunteer application packet is available for teens and adults.

Open Volunteer Positions:

Patient Care - Assist in the nursing units, offer clerical support at the nurses’ station, interact and visit with patients, pass out juices/water, run errands, take discharged patients out on a wheelchair, etc.

Gift Shop -- Run cash register at store, deliver flowers to the patients, assist in window displays, wrap gifts, help with inventory, support the input and pricing of merchandise, run candy cart throughout the hospital

Newspaper Delivery - Distribute daily newspaper and mail to the patients. This involves walking from room to room and a friendly disposition.

Clerical (Office work) -- Provide support to most business areas (Accounting, Medical Records, and Rehab, to name a few. This includes answering phones, making copies, faxing, filing, doing mailings.

Pharmacy - Checking expiration dates, clerical work, errands

Auxiliary - Both the Adult & Teenage groups are always looking for members. Organizing special events, working lobby sales, obtaining donations, coordinating activities to benefit patients, and fundraising.
